IRY is an enjoyable cooking island,
whose keystone lies in the posture ergonomics of its users. Its working surfaces are distributed in three levels in order to promote, according to their assigned function, the correct body position of the user.
IRY’s form is healthy, comfortable and allows for space optimization. Its winged working surfaces make distances shorter and are accessible from both sides, which turns cooking into a more enjoyable teamwork.
The sink is situated in the center of the island. Because it is the main element of a kitchen, due to its constant use through the whole cooking process and its mandatory accessibility, it lies at the rotation axis of the ensemble.
Still, another innovation of this cooking island is the mobility of its wings: they are deployable and permit a flexible configuration of the kitchen.
